Charging your Wrangler 4xe is simple. An included Level I charging cable will fully charge the battery in 12 hours while an available and simple-to-use Level II Jeep® Branded Charger can fully charge your Wrangler 4xe battery in approximately 2 hours.

The Wrangler 4xe is the Industry's First Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) with a Front and Rear Locking Differential. Its system is paired with a 2.0L I4 DOHC direct-injection Turbo PHEV engine. A 17-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, regenerative brake booster and eight-speed automatic transmission work together to send impressive amounts of power and torque to each wheel, maximizing the capability of every component. The sealed and waterproof battery pack and electronics even perform in tough conditions like fording creeks and streams up to 31.5 inches in depth.

OPTIMIZE EVERY RIDE
ELECTRIC MODE
When the battery has more than a 1% charge, it can run in Electric Mode. This allows for nearly zero tailpipe emissions up to highway speeds. The vehicle can run in this mode for up to 21 miles.
HYBRID MODE
The default mode, Hybrid, combines torque from both the 2.0L turbocharged engine and the electric motors. This combination provides maximum horsepower, instant torque and the best acceleration. Electric power is consumed first.

What are the Athletic Features of the Wrangler 4xe?
The Wrangler has always been known for its off-road prowess, but now for the 2023 model year, the Wrangler 4xe lineup is offering even more options for those who want to take their adventures off the paved roads. The lineup now features the Willys 4xe, which offers robust features like the Trac-Lok system, and 32-inch mud-terrain tires. There's also the even more powerful Rubicon trim, which features all-terrain tires, locking front and rear differentials, off-road rock rails, and a front disconnecting sway bar. The Rubicon also comes with standard 4-wheel drive, so that you can take on the toughest terrain with ease. The Wrangler 4xe also comes with standard features including front tow hooks, and steel underbody skid plates.
What is the 2023 Jeep Wrangler's Hybrid Powertrain?
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, also known as a PHEV. This means that it incorporates electric components alongside a gas-powered engine in order to power the vehicle. When you're driving your Wrangler 4xe, you'll notice three E-Selec drive modes, Hybrid, Electric, and eSave. These give you the option to choose what kind of power you want to use. Hybrid mode uses gas and electricity at once, offering the maximum torque output. Electric mode uses only the battery power, resulting in up to 21 miles of all-electric range. Lastly, eSave mode will use the gas tank first, and then switch over to electric mode when the gas tank gets low. In terms of its powertrain, the Wrangler 4xe features two electric motors powered by a rechargeable battery, as well as a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
What Other Features does the 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Offer?
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe has a wealth of incredible features to offer! As we mentioned above, there are four trim levels to choose from for the 2023 model year. The new trim level this year is the Willys 4xe, which includes features such as black wheels, and Willys hood decals. Inside, the Willys has a premium Alpine sound system. Standard across the board, you'll find a Uconnect 4 infotainment system, and the iconic Wrangler removable roof and doors. The Sahara is the second trim level, which includes features like 20-inch wheels, and LED headlights. The Rubicon has all of the off-road equipment we mentioned earlier, as well as a bold Rubicon hood decal, and blue accent stitching inside. Last but not least, the High Altitude has luxurious features like Nappa leather-trimmed seats.
