What are the Jeep 4xe Powertrain Options?
Whether you choose the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, or the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, you'll be treated to an innovative, fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain. Both of these models are equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, as well as a set of two electric motors, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. For the Wrangler 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe, this powertrain delivers 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The Wrangler has an all-electric range of up to 21 miles, while the Grand Cherokee 4xe has an electric range of up to 25 miles! Both models also offer 4-wheel drive on all of their trim levels.
What Off-Road Features do Jeep 4xe Vehicles Have?
The Jeep 4xe lineup has a wealth of off-road features for you to enjoy! Both the Wrangler 4xe and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe have off-road trims that offer all the equipment you need out on the trails. The Wrangler Rubicon has the ability to ford up to 33.1 inches of water, and has all-terrain tires, locking differentials, a front sway bar, and off-road rock rails. The Grand Cherokee's off-road model is the Trailhawk, which includes features like Quadra-Drive II 4X4, all-terrain tires, and increased ground clearance for up to 24 inches of water fording. The Grand Cherokee 4xe also has a maximum towing capacity of up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped.
How Can You Keep Your Jeep 4xe Charged?
Your Jeep 4xe has a rechargeable battery pack which powers your electric motors. These motors work hand-in-hand with your engine, so that you can save money on gas and reduce your consumption. While you drive, you can choose your desired drive mode, either Hybrid, Electric, or eSave. If you're trying to save your charge for later, you can choose eSave and prioritize your gas tank. On the other hand, Electric mode will let you use your electric charge for your vehicle's designated electric driving range. Hybrid mode will use both power sources at once, giving you the maximum availability of torque. Jeep 4xe vehicles also use regenerative braking to help you recapture energy when the brakes are applied.
