2021 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

The Ram 1500 has four engine options for the 2021 model year. Ram pairs all engines with an automatic 8-speed transmission and there are two drivetrain configurations, RWD and 4WD. The base engine is a 3.6L Pentastar V6 with eTorque mild-hybrid technology that generates 305 hp and 269 pound-feet of torque. THe second engine offered, available with or without the eTorque technology, is a 5.7L V8 that delivers 395 hp and 410 pound-feet of torque. Ram's third engine option is a 3.0L turbocharged diesel V6 that produces 260 hp and 480 pound-feet of torque. The last engine is a 6.2L supercharged V8 that is found under the hood of the TRX kicking out 702 hp and 650 pound-feet of torque.

2021 Ford F-150 Power & Handling

The Ford F-150 has six engines powering its lineup in the 2021 model year. They are all paired with an automatic 10-speed transmission and both RWD and 4WD are offered. The base engine, a 3.3L V6, generates 265 pound-feet of torque and 290 hp. The second engine in the lineup is a turbocharged 2.7L V6 that delivers 400 pound-feet of torque and 325 hp. After that, drivers can opt for the available 5.0L V8 that produces 410 pound-feet of torque and 400 hp. The four engine is a turbocharged 3.0L diesel V6 that creates 440 pound-feet of torque and 250 hp. The next engine is a turbocharged 3.5L V6 that pumps out 500 pound-feet of torque and 400 hp. The last engine pairs the turbocharged 3.5L V6 with a battery and electric motor to deliver 570 pound-feet of torque and 430 hp.

2021 Ram 1500 Features & Design

Seven 1500 trim levels are available and each offers a load of features that help get the job done. The first trim is outfitted with a rearview camera, trailer sway damping, a 6-speaker sound system, air conditioning, a 5" touchscreen, 18-inch steel wheels, and tilt/telescoping steering wheel. The other trims add features like leather upholstery, smartphone integration, heated and ventilated front seats, an 8.4" or 12" touchscreen, power accessories, premium bucket seats, a four-corner air suspension, and a host of driver aids. The Rebel and TRX trims take the Ram 1500 off-roading with features like all-terrain tires, skid plates, an electronic locking rear axle, a solid Dana 60 rear axle, a suspension lift, and more.

2021 Ford F-150 Features & Design

Drivers have six F-150 trim levels to choose from. The base XL trim is outfitted with features such as trailer sway control, an 8" touchscreen, air conditioning, smartphone integration, manual windows and mirrors, and vinyl flooring. The other trim levels add leather upholstery, a 12" touchscreen, remote engine start, LED bed lighting, power-adjustable front seats, heated front and rear seats, power running boards, a premium sound system, a two-panel moonroof, and a heated steering wheel.
