Though it was redesigned last year, the RAM 1500 continues to be the highest-rated truck in America. All trims of the RAM 1500 come with outstanding driving dynamics, gorgeous interior, and a unique rear suspension. All of this leads to RAM skating past its competition with a ride quality that rivals luxury sedans. The RAM is not just pretty to look at, as it comes with more than enough power for even the heaviest of jobs. The regular engine lineup of V6s and V8s are still here, but this year RAM adds a diesel-powered turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which is known as an EcoDiesel. These engines allow the RAM 1500 to tow up to 12,560 pounds. Inside the cabin is another plus for RAM as it comes with comfortable seats, high-quality materials, and a terrific touchscreen infotainment system. Higher trims offer even more levels of luxury. The RAM 1500 comes in six trims each coming with a ton of features, take a journey with us as we break down each one.

The entry-level Tradesman, like all versions of the RAM 1500, gives you the option of a quad cab with a long bed or a crew cab with a shorter bed. Also standard is a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. There is an option for a 5.7-liter V8 engine with 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque or a new diesel V6 with 260 horsepower. All engines connect to an eight-speed automatic transmission. As for features, the Tradesman comes with a 23-gallon gas tank, steel wheels, trailer sway damping, air conditioning, push-button start, cruise control, electronic parking brake, a six-speaker stereo, rearview camera and a 5-inch touchscreen with a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Big Horn
The Big Horn adds aluminum wheels, fog lights, a 60/40-split rear seat, and an 8.4-inch or a 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Rebel is off-road themed, and it comes with an electronic locking rear axle, four skid plates that are prepared to hit the elements at full speed, and aggressive styling.

If you're more into luxury, then the Laramie is the trim for you! It comes standard with the 8.4-inch touchscreen, 20-inch wheels, power mirrors, and a rear window. Additional features include heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable leather-trimmed front seats, forward collision warning, and lane-keeping assist.

Fans of powerful trucks are sure to love the RAM 1500! The three engines are fuel-efficient and allow the RAM to haul up to 12,560 pounds.
