How to be a Defensive Driver

This day and age driving seems to be more distracted due to technology, etc. With that said, it's a must to be a good yet defensive driver.

What does this exactly mean? It means really use those senses especially when keeping eyes out on other drivers. A good rule of thumb I go by is always anticipate what the other driver is going to do. You can't read another driver's thoughts, so always drive cautiously!

Ways to enhance your defensive driving skills are:

No cellphone usage while driving

Be aware of all traffic signs

Keep a safe and reasonable distance away from other vehicles (break early if needed)

Know how to drive in all weather elements with confidence

Give other drivers the right away

Drivers should always put their #1 focus on the task at hand. Being the most alert will keep you safe and sound.

And, always remember to buckle up!
